Friends are easy to make, only our intents matter. Life is full of different personalities, and several of them stumble across our way in a life-time, leaving us to choose the ones we want closer to us and the ones we'd like to be farther away. Every encounter has a purpose and it's left for us to discover which purpose it has.

Friends have been made since time immemorial, and it continues that way. However, a lot of friends have been lost simply because we fail to define the type of friendship, hence, the purpose is lost.

Overtime, opposite sex have engaged in strong, intimate friendship, that leaves people wondering if they are just friends or something more. And most times the truth is, they are #justfriends, because everything they share and do is mutual. However, it has been discovered that out of the 100% of opposite sex friendship 80% of one of the two parties, and at times the both, fall in love with each other or their friend. But because they fail to express their feelings, hence, re-defining their friendship, they end up losing each other to some stranger who eventually come their way.

No matter the kind of friendship you share, always be sure to define the motive behind it, even if you don't have the intentions from the onset, ones it comes, be sure to express yourself.

You might want to ask yourself, what is the worst thing that can happen?

It's either you lose your 'just friend' or earn a life-time friend.

Dairy of Love (1) Stephanie & Stephan; Best friends

In a city far beyond the seas
and the shores of a noble land. There lived two friends, Stephanie and Stephan. Stephanie had another friend named Simi and Stephan had a friend named Styles.

After a long while Styles made his intentions known to Stephan. He told Stephan how much he had liked Stephanie from the very first day he got to meet her and knowing Stephan was closer to Stephanie, he urged Stephan to persuade her on his behalf.

So, Stephan for the sake of friendship, went to meet his best friend, Stephanie, and urged her to date Styles, despite the fact that he had had a deep affection for Stephanie. Stephanie agreed and that was how she began to date Styles.

On a fateful evening, Stephan came to visit Stephanie, for its been long since they've talked and walked the lonely night under the starry sky. Coincidentally, Simi also came to see Stephanie, her friend. And that was how Stephan got to meet Simi.

After a while, Stephan got jealous of Styles and Stephanie. He felt he was losing his best friend, and most especially, the only woman he truly loved, to Styles. So, Stephan thought of dating Simi as well, he felt that should also get Stephanie jealous.

After a few weeks, Stephan told Stephanie to help him out with dating Simi.
Within a short while both Simi and Stephan started to go out.

But as fate would have it, Stephanie got to know Styles was cheating on her. So, she broke up with him. Stephan saw that as a chance to win Stephanie over, so he dumped Simi.

Within weeks, both were back together as before but this time as single as ever, with no one else in their lives. Stephan expressed his feelings to Stephanie but it was too late. Stephanie could not date Stephan, even though he was her best friend.

She felt it wasn't right to date him owning to the fact that he was her friends ex and she was his friends ex. The fact that she helped him out on dating Simi and he was the one who talked her into dating Styles was not something she could live with, hence, another reason why she couldn't date Stephan. And the fact that Stephan never made his intentions known before she decided to date Styles or before he decided to date Simi and most important of all, Stephan was supposed to be her best friend.

Times passed and both maintained a mutual friendship. To Stephanie, Stephan would always be her best friend and nothing more. But to Stephan, his hope is as high as a dove that one day perhaps, Stephanie would look beyond the impossibilities and make something more out of their friendship.

It's about finding unity in it
It's not about our race and culture
It's about the bond that connects us
It's not about the fact that we are all humans
